Bears Signing QB Chase Daniel To Two-Year Deal Worth $10M

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears are signing QB Chase Daniel to a two-year deal worth $10 million.

According to Rapoport, Daniel gets $7 million guaranteed, but the contract is voidable after one year.

Rapoport mentions that this is actually a big deal for Daniel, considering that if he plays and has a great year, he would be a free agent in 2019.

Daniel, 31, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri back in 2010. He spent three years in New Orleans before signing on with the Chiefs in 2013.

After another three years in Kansas City, Daniels signed a three-year, $21 million contract that included $12 million guaranteed with the Eagles in 2016. However, the Eagles released Daniel last year and he later signed a one-year deal with the Saints.

In 2017, Daniel appeared in one game for the Saints but didn’t attempt a pass.
