Bears Signing WR Kendall Wright To One-Year Deal Worth Up To $4M

Adam Caplan reports that the Bears have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $4 million with former Titans WR Kendall Wright.

The Bears have been very active today, signing a number of free agents including CB Marcus Cooper, CB Johnthan Banks, and LB Christian Jones.

Wright never lived up to his draft status in Tennessee, but a change of scenario could be great for him, as he looks to turn things around and hit the open market again in 2018.

Wright, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $8.218 million contract with the Titans before they elected to pick up his fifth-year option back in May of 2015.

Wright made a base salary of $7.32 million for the 2016 season and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent in the coming months.

In 2016, Wright appeared in 11 games for the Titans and caught 29 passes for 416 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Titans. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 50 receiver out of 119 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
