Bears Taking A Look At Free Agent WRs

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reported earlier on Thursday that the Chicago Bears brought in free agent WR Jarred Fayson for a workout.

Wilson also reports that the Bears also worked out WR Jason Hill on Monday.

Multiple reports from Wednesday indicated that Chicago had held internal discussions about the idea of trading WR Earl Bennett. Brandon Marshall expressed some concern regarding his hip this week, so it appears as though the Bears are prepared to add some additional help receiver before the start of the season.

Hill, 28, was released by the Jets in the middle of last season and has generated almost no interest this offseason. It’s really hard to say what he offers at this point in his career.

As for Fayson, he was an undrafted free agent out of Illinois, but spent the 2011 season on the Colts practice squad. Wilson expects him to draw looks from teams other than the Bears, so we’ll have to see if Chicago adds him to their roster at some point in the near future.
