McCoy is a “very, very hot name right now,” according to Glazer.
McCoy was able to reinvent their offense to fit Tim Tebow‘s skill set last season, which is obviously worth something now that we’ve seen what the Jets were able to do with him. This year, he’s helped Peyton Manning transition seamlessly into their offense, so it’s really not all that surprising that teams already have interest in him.
Chicago’s interest is a direct change in philosophy seeing as they typically look for a defensive minded head coach. The Bears finally have some legitimate weapons on the offensive side of the ball, so I can see why they would want to improve on that side of the ball.
