According to Brad Biggs, the Bears have a number of free agents including OLB Ryan Delaire, CB Tharold Simon, WR Nick Williams, DE Nick Williams and WR Marlon Brown trying out for the team during their minicamp this week.
Delaire has recovered from a torn ACL he suffered last year and recently tried out for the Cowboys.
Delaire, 26, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of 2015. He lasted just a few months with the Buccaneers before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Redskins’ practice squad.
The Panthers signed him to their active roster a few weeks into the 2015 season and he finished out the year in Carolina. Unfortunately, the Panthers waived Delaire in July of last year and wound up missing the entire 2017 season.
In 2016, Delaire appeared in six games for the Panthers and recorded three tackles, one sack and a pass defense.
