Bears Waive QB David Fales

The Chicago Bears officially waived QB David Fales on Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Fales, 25, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft, even though the Bears said there was no way they would select a quarterback in the later rounds.

Fales was able to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he has been on and off the team’s practice squad since then. There’s a decent chance he’ll be added to the Bears’ practice squad in the coming days.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
