Bears Waiving LB Jonathan Anderson

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears are placing LB Jonathan Anderson on waivers Thursday.

This is likely to make room for newly acquired WR Dontrelle Inman.

Biggs says that it’s possible the Bears could look to bring Anderson back as a member of their practice squad if he clears waivers.

Anderson, 25, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in May of 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad.

Anderson has been on and off of the team’s active roster since entering the NFL.

In 2017, Anderson has appeared in six games and recorded eight tackles and no sacks or interceptions for the Bears.
