Bears Will Start Jay Cutler In Week 17

Chicago Bears HC Marc Trestman told reporters following Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Eagles that Jay Cutler will remain the team’s starting quarterback for next week’s winner-take-all game against Green Bay.

“We lost the line of scrimmage,” Trestman said, via ESPN.com. “We didn’t do as good a job as obviously we’ve done at protecting Jay. He got hit probably more in this game than he’s been hit at any time during the season.

Cutler finished Sunday Night’s game completing 22 of 35 passes for 222 one touchdown and an interception.

Things got out of hand rather quickly and Cutler took some pretty hard hits throughout the game, so it’s not that easy to just pin their disappointment on one player or unit.

Cutler has a lot riding on what could be his final game as the Bears starting quarterback. We have Cutler listed as the No. 9 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
