Bears Work Out Free Agents RB Denard Robinson & WR Titus Davis

The Bears announced that they are hosting free agents WR Titus Davis and RB Denard Robinson for tryouts at their rookie minicamp.

Chicago will also work out free agents RB Tyler Gaffney, WR Tim Vizzi, TE Casey Pierce, DL Demetrius Cherry, LB Theiren Cockran, OL Bill Bentley, and OL Trevin Wade.

Robinson, 26, is a former fifth-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2013 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract and is exploring the open market for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Robinson appeared in 13 games for the Jaguars and recorded 144 yards on 41 attempts (3.5 YPC) and no touchdowns. He also finished with three receptions for 22 yards.

Davis, 23, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan. He was unfortunately among their early roster cuts, but he later caught on with the Jets for a brief period before later signing on to the Bills’ practice squad.

Buffalo cut him loose before he later returned to the Jets’ practice squad. The Jets elected to bring Davis back on a future/reserve contract but waived him from their reserve/left squad list.

Davis has yet to appear in an NFL game
