Bears Worked Out 5 Players Including WR Titus Davis

The Chicago Bears brought in five players for workouts on Tuesday including WR Danny Anthrop, WR Harvey Bindford, WR Bryan Burnham, WR Titus Davis, and G Greg Van Roten.

Davis, 23, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan back in May. He was unfortunately among their early roster cuts, but he later caught on with the Jets for a brief period before later signing on to the Bills’ practice squad.

Buffalo cut him loose before he later returned to the Jets’ practice squad. The Jets elected to bring Davis back on a future/reserve contract in January but waived him from their reserve/left squad list back in November.

Davis has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Van Roten, 26, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Pennsylvania back in 2012. Green Bay placed him on season-ending injured reserve and eventually waived him.

The Seahawks signed him to a contract in 2014 but cut him to make room for RB Demitrius Bronson.

In 2013, Van Roten appeared in three games for the Packers.
