Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that the Chicago Bears brought in veteran CB Antoine Cason for a workout on Friday.
The Panthers placed Cason on waivers this past Monday as they begin to carve out some extra playing time for some of their younger players.
Cason, 28, signed a one-year contract worth $795,000 with the Panthers back in March. However, he has really struggled this season and there was even some talk that he could be benched before Carolina waived him.
This season, Cason has appeared in 12 games and recorded 58 tackles, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has Cason rated as the No. 110 player out of 117 qualifying players.
