Bears Worked Out CFL Star WR Eric Rogers & CB Shaun Prater

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Bears worked out CB Shaun Prater, CFL WR Eric Rogers, WR Terrell Sinkfield and WR Kenny Stafford on Monday.

Rogers, 23, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Cal Lutheran back in 2013. However, he lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was waived during the preseason.

Rogers has worked out for several teams including the 49ers, Patriots, ChargersEagles, Vikings, BrownsTexans and Jets in recent weeks, so there appears to be a decent amount of interest in him right now.

It seems like that Rogers would have to sign a future/reserve contract with a team and compete for a roster spot next summer.

While playing for the Calgary Stampeders, Rogers recorded 87 catches for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Prater, 25, was a fifth-round pick by the Bengals in 2012, but landed on the injured-reserve with a knee injury and was waived the following offseason. He later caught on with the Eagles before joining the Vikings for the past two seasons.

After a brief stint with the Colts, Prater returned to the Vikings a few weeks ago. However, he was once again release and later signed by the Broncos. Denver wound up cutting him loose close to a week ago.

This season, Prater has been active for two games, but has yet to record a single statistic.
