Bears Worked Out 4 Players Including DE Rufus Johnson & LB Deiontrez Mount

According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Bears brought in four players for workouts on Tuesday including: DE  Jimmy Bean, DE Rufus Johnson, LB Deiontrez Mount, and LB Jermauria Rasco.

Johnson, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He spent just over a year in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the season.

The Patriots later signed him to future/reserve contracts in each of the next two seasons before releasing him a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Johnson appeared in one game for New England and recorded just one tackle.

Mount, 23, was taken in the sixth round of last year’s NFL draft. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.428 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 when the Titans cut him loose a few weeks ago.

Mount has worked out for the Jets and Bengals since becoming available.

In 2015, Mount appeared in four games for the Titans and recorded an interception and a pass defense before being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
