Update:

Pam Oliver of Fox (per Ian Rapoport) mentioned during Sunday’s broadcast that Bears WR Cameron Meredith is believed to have a torn ACL, which would end his 2017 season.

Bears WR Cameron Meredith went down grabbing at his knee after catching a pass during Sunday’s preseason game and was later carted off the field.

The medical staff placed an air cast was placed on Meredith’s injured left leg before he was taken off of the field. The injury appears to be pretty bad, as FOX went to commercial without showing a replay of the injury.

This would be a pretty big loss for the Bears’ offense, as he’s been one of the team’s best receivers and there are questions about their depth behind him.

Meredith, 24, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State back in May of 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his three-year, $1.581 million contract and is in line to be a restricted free agent in 2018.

In 2016, Meredith appeared in 14 games and caught 66 passes for 888 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 53 receiver out of 115 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Meredith and his injury as the news is available.
