Bears WR Marquess Wilson Suffers Fractured Clavicle, No Timetable For Return

Chicago Bears WR Marquess Wilson was carted off the field during Monday’s practice after he suffered what appeared to be an upper body injury.

Rich Campbell has confirmed with a Bears spokesman that Wilson suffered a fractured clavicle and is currently without a timetable for his return.

This is terribly disappointing news for the Bears as Wilson had generated plenty of buzz this offseason and was in position to be the team’s No. 3 receiver to open the year.

The general range for recovery from a clavicle injury is between four to eight weeks or so. We should have a better idea of how much time he’ll miss in the coming days.

Chicago has Josh Bellamy, Chris Williams and Armanti Edwards directly behind Wilson on their depth chart, so we’ll have to see who ends up receiving more work in practice and in their first preseason game.
