Arian Foster Sitting Week 3 Out?

Jeffery Martin of the Houston Chronicle provides some comments from Texans RB Arian Foster regarding his status for week 3’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

I want to be out there with my team, but this team is looking to advance further than we have before. I want to make sure I’m healthy for the right stretch,” Foster said.

Foster continued by saying “I’ll take it day by day, mainly keeping it more and more healthy until I feel it’s 100 percent. … This is one of those injuries…you can’t push through it. The more you push, the worse it gets.”

Reports have already indicated that Ben Tate will get the start so it would be a pretty large surprise to see Foster in the lineup for this weekends game.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle tweets that Ben Tate will be the Texans starting running back for the teams upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints.

Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com reports that Arian Foster missed practice on Wednesday. Head coach Gary Kubiak said that Foster “worked real hard”  during his rehab.

All things considered, Foster has a good shot of being held out of Sunday’s game. Tate will get plenty of work and has another shot at cutting into Foster’s future carries.
