Bengals Activate OT Cedric Ogbuehi From NFI List, Place CB Darqueze Dennard On I.R.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve placed CB Darqueze Dennard on injured reserve and activated rookie OT Cedric Ogbuehi from the reserve-non-football injury list.

Ogbuehi, 23, signed his four-year, $9,325,682 rookie contract that included $8,728,997 fully guaranteed with the Bengals back in May with the expectation that he would eventually end up on either the PUP list or the NFI list.

Cincinnati added him to the NFI list at the start of the regular season before making roster cuts.

During his final year at Texas A&M, Ogbuehi sustained a torn ACL, but he could end up being a great long-term investment for the Bengals at a premium position.

Dennard, 24, is in the second year of his  four-year, $7.978 million rookie contract that included $6.47 million guaranteed. He’ll make base salaries of $782,677 (2015), $1,145,355 (2016), and $988,032 (2017) over the remainder of the contract.

This season, Dennard has recorded 20 tackles, one interception, and three pass defenses for the Bengals over the course of 10 games.
