Bengals Claim DT Christian Ringo Off Waivers From Packers

Ryan Wood of PackersNew.com reports that the Bengals have claimed DT Christian Ringo off of waivers from the Packers on Wednesday.

The Packers cut Ringo yesterday to make room for veteran DL Quinton Dial, who was signed to a contract.

Ringo, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually brought back on a future/reserve contract last year.

The Packers re-signed Ringo to a one-year, exclusive rights contract worth $615,000 this past April before cutting him loose on Tuesday.

In 2016, Ringo appeared seven games for the Packers and recorded two tackles, a forced fumble and no sacks.
