Bengals Claim K Randy Bullock Off Waivers From Steelers, Cut K Mike Nugent

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Tuesday that they’ve claimed K Randy Bullock off of waivers from the Steelers and waived K Mike Nugent.

Bullock, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Texans back in 2012. He spent three years in Houston before signing on with the Jets in November of last year.

The Giants signed him to a contract coming out of the preseason while Josh Brown served his one-game suspension. New York later released him upon activating Brown and it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that the Steelers signed him to a contract.

In 2016, Bullock has appeared in two games and has converted all three field goal attempts to go along with three of four extra point tries and had six touchbacks.

Nugent, 34, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2005. He has spent the past six seasons with the Bengals but has really struggled this year.

Nugent is currently in the final year of his two-year, $3.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.2 million for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Nugent has converted 23 of 29 field goal attempts (79.3 percent) and 23 of 29 extra point tries to go along with 28 touchbacks.
