Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that OLB Manny Lawson has informed some of his teammates that he has re-signed with the Bengals.

Last night there were reports that he was on the verge of signing a contract with the team, but we’re still waiting to hear something official regarding this situation.

Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports that the Cincinnati Bengals are “expected” to re-sign OLB Manny Lawson, according to a league source. Wilson adds that a deal has yet to be finalized to this point.

Lawson has drawn some interest of late from teams like the Colts, Browns, Packers and Raiders. Overall, Lawson is a decent player but the one knock on him is his inability to get to the quarterback. Last year he had only two sacks and three quarterback pressures which is definitely a concerning factor, but he’s very solid against the run.
