Bengals Cut Veteran DT Brandon Thompson, WR Karel Hamilton & RB Stanley Williams

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve cut three players including veteran DT Brandon Thompson, WR Karel Hamilton, and RB Stanley Williams.

Both Hamilton and Williams will have to clear waivers before becoming free agents.

Thompson, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He was currently in the final year of his contract and set to make a base salary of $775,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2015, Thompson appeared in nine games and recorded eight tackles and a half sack. Unfortunately, Thompson suffered an ACL injury that season and he wound up spending the entire 2016 season on the Bengals’ PUP list.
