Bengals DT Josh Tupou Arrested For Violating Protection Order

Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Bengals DT Josh Tupou was arrested last Thursday after being kicked out of a bar in Colorado for being “overly intoxicated.

The arrest affidavit shows that Tupou was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order.

Tupou allegedly shoved members of the staff and refused to leave. However, the workers did not wish to press charges against Tupou.

According to Owczarski, Tupuo is on probation for a 2015 guilty plea to third-degree assault that prohibits him from drinking alcohol.

Tupou, 23, signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May of last year. He was among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed to their practice squad.

Cincinnati promoted Tupou to their active roster for a brief period before cutting him and later re-signing him to their practice squad.

In 2017, Tupou appeared in one game but did not record any statistics.
