Chiefs Sign LB Akeem Jordan

Adam Caplan reports that the LB Akeem Jordan officially signed his contract with the Chiefs on Monday.

Jordan receives a one-year contract for the veterans minimum that also includes a $20,000 signing bonus.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that free agent LB Akeem Jordan has agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs.
  • Wilson adds that the Chiefs also brought in LB Larry Grant for a visit as well.

Jordan reportedly has interest from “multiple teams,” two of which included the Bengals and Eagles, but this is the first we’ve heard regarding the Chiefs being an option.

He follows former Eagles’ head coach Andy Reid to Kansas City, but we’ll have to see if he’s able to secure larger role in the Chiefs defense next season.

Aaron Wilson reports that the Eagles have extended free agent LB Akeem Jordan a contract offer to re-sign with them.

Wilson adds that Jordan reportedly has interest from “multiple teams.

Jordan is currently visiting the Bengals and talks between the two sides are believed to be going well.

The Bengals could probably offer him more playing time than the Eagles, but it sounds as though there’s genuine interest in the 26-year-old linebacker. Last year, he played 342 snaps for the Eagles, but ultimately graded out as a below average 4-3 outside linebacker, according to Pro Football Focus.
