Bengals Hosting FSU RB Dalvin Cook For Visit

Katherine Terrell of ESPN is reporting that the Florida State RB Dalvin Cook is currently in Cincinnati for a visit with the Bengals.

  • Joe Reedy reported earlier in the day that Cook was meeting with the Bengals either today or tomorrow.

Cook has previously visited with the 49ers and Browns, but like has a great deal of interest beyond these three teams.

Former NFL GM Charlie Casserly polled 19 GMs at the Combine about who they have as the top running back in this year’s draft and 12 said LSU’s Leonard Fournette while 7 others had Cook, so he’s clearly in the mix to be the first running back to come off the board later this month.

Cook, 21, is considered to be one of the best running back prospects in this year’s draft class. His combine performance was disappointing, but NFL teams seem to think his overall resume outweighs some of the concerns that arose from his workout in Indianapolis.

During his three years at Florida State, Cook appeared in 38 games and rushed for 4,464 yards on 687 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 79 receptions for 935 yards receiving and 48 total touchdowns.
