Update:

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed QB Josh Johnson following his visit with the team on Thursday.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that free agent QB Josh Johnson is visiting with the Bengals on Thursday.

Johnson, 28, is a former fifth round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2012. Since then, he’s played for a number of teams including the Browns, Bengals, Chargers, and 49ers.

Last year, Johnson signed a one-year contract with the 49ers back in May, but wound up being the team’s No. 3 quarterback behind Blaine Gabbert.

Johnson hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season while playing for the Bengals.
