Bengals Meet With LB Karlos Dansby & S Kerry Rhodes

Karlos Dansby

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Bengals are hosting free agent LB Karlos Dansby Wednesday.

Bengals have been linked to Rolando McClain in recent days, but it appears as though McClain will end up with the Ravens, who were also proposed as a potential landing spot for Dansby as well.

Dansby, 31, was released by the Dolphins before they eventually signed his replacement in Ellerbe. Dansby is coming off of back-to-back seasons in which he totaled over 100 tackles and actually graded out as the No. 13 inside-linebacker, according to Pro Football Focus.

Still, there hasn’t been a lot of buzz surrounding him since being released, but that should change in the days following the draft.

We have him listed as the No. 10 player in our recently updated Best Available Free Agents list.

Kerry Rhodes

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bengals brought in free agent DB Kerry Rhodes for a visit on Monday.

Rhodes, 30, was a very serviceable player for the Cardinals last season. According to Pro Football Focus, Rhodes graded out as the No. 4 safety in the NFL, which is reason enough to believe he can still contribute at a pretty high level.

The Bengals are also in need of an upgrade at the free safety position and the market has been slow for Rhodes up until this point, so there’s at least a chance that a deal could come together at some point in the near future.

We currently have Rhodes listed as No. 13 in our Best Available Free Agents List
