Bengals OC Hue Jackson Already Generating Interest From Titans

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Titans HC Mike Mularkey has a chance of retaining the Titans’ head-coaching job on a full-time basis after the year is out.

However, Bengals OC Hue Jackson is reportedly a name to keep an eye on for them, as he’s already generating some interest in Tennessee, according to Rapoport.

Rapoport adds that Jackson is “hot candidate” right now with the Titans being interested in possibly hiring him.

Bengals owner Mike Brown and HC Marvin Lewis have both said publicly that expect Jackson to interview jobs at the end of the year, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Jackson has done a good job in the past of working with young offensive players, and with Marcus Mariota in place as the Titans’ long-term quarterback, it seems like a decent fit.

It’s worth mentioning that the Titans’ ownership situation could factor into the team’s head-coaching search and other potential changes to the front office.

Jackson replaced Tom Cable as the Raiders head coach back in 2011, but he lasted just one year before he was fired after they hired Reggie McKenie as general manager. He led the Raiders to an 8-8 record.
