Bengals Place DE Robert Geathers On Injured Reserve

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve placed DE Robert Geathers on season-ending injured reserve.

Reports from earlier in the day suggested that the Bengals were “preparing to hear the worst” in regards to Geathers’ elbow injury.

Geathers, 30, signed a three-year deal worth $9.5 million back in March. His loss could open the door for rookie Margus Hunt to see more action in the coming weeks, but Wallace Gilberry figures to be the next man up for Cincinnati.
