Bengals Place First-Round OT Cedric Ogbuehi On NFI List, Waive WR Onterio McCalebb

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Tuesday that they’ve placed first-round OT Cedric Ogbuehi on the non-football injury list.

Ogbuehi, 23, signed his four-year, $9,325,682 rookie contract that included $8,728,997 fully guaranteed with the Bengals back in May with the expectation that he would eventually end up on either the PUP list or the NFI list.

During his final year at Texas A&M, Ogbuehi sustained a torn ACL, but he could end up being a great long-term investment for the Bengals at a premium position.

McCalebb, 26, signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2013. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad.

Should he clear waivers, he would likely end up on the team’s injured reserve list.

In 2014, McCalebb appeared in one game for Cincinnati, but didn’t record a single statistic.
