Bengals Place TE Tyler Eifert On Short-Term I.R.

 

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Cincinnati Bengals have placed TE Tyler Eifert on injured reserve with the designation to return.

Eifert looked to have suffered a serious elbow injury during the team’s season opener this past weekend, but reports following the game mentioned that his elbow popped back into place after it dislocated.

This move will cost Eifert a decent portion of the season, but it will also give him plenty of time to ensure that he’s 100 percent upon returning to the field.

The Bengals will turn to Jermaine Gresham as their every-down tight end with Eifert on injured reserve.
