Bengals Place WR Marvin Jones On Season-Ending I.R., Waive LB Khairi Fortt

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Tuesday that they have placed WR Marvin Jones on season-ending injured reserve and waived LB Khairi Fortt.

Coley Harvey of ESPN reported earlier in the day that Jones is going to North Carolina to meet with a specialist regarding his right ankle injury, so it appears as though his injury was pretty severe.

Cincinnati signed former Browns WR Greg Little to their roster to take his place on their 53-man roster.

The Bengals recently claimed Fortt off of waivers from the Saints. New Orleans placed Fortt on injured reserve with the designation to return a few days before the start of the regular season, but later waived him after reportedly he missed a few meetings.

Fortt, 22, played two years for Penn State before transferring to California last year. In 2013, he started all nine games for California totaled 64 tackles, 0.5 sack and 3.5 tackles for a loss.
