Bengals Placed First-Round DB William Jackson & RB Cedric Peerman On I.R.

The Cincinnati Bengals officially placed first-round DB William Jackson and RB Cedric Peerman on injured reserve.

Jackson, unfortunately, suffered a torn pectoral muscle close to a month ago, so this was a possibility.

Jackson, 23, was taken with the No. 24 overall pick after the Bengals after after the top four receivers — Corey ColemanWill Fuller, Josh Doctson, and Laquon Treadwell — came off the board ahead of them.

According to OverTheCap.com, Jackson receives a four-year contract worth $9,705,648 to go along with a signing bonus of $5,258,652. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his senior season at Houston, Jackson recorded 43 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, five interceptions with two of them being returned for touchdowns and an impressive 23 pass defenses.
