Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports reports that the NFL has decided to suspend Bengals RB Cedric Benson for three games for his role in an assault incident.
Benson was lucky that the Bengals showed in interest in him despite the fact that he was going to spend time in jail but they had to know that this was a possibility as it happened after the season was finally underway.
Silver notes that Benson could miss games against the the Bills, Jaguars, and Colts.
