The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve re-signed LB Rey Maualuga to a three-year contract.

Maualuga, 28, is a former second round pick of the Bengals and was set to be one of the best available inside linebackers on the open market in the next few days.
However, recent reports had said that retaining him was a priority for the Bengals and losing him would have left them in a pretty tough situation at linebacker.
Last year, Maualuga appeared in 12 games for Cincinnati and recorded 59 tackles, one interception, and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 27 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.
