Bengals Reach An Agreement With CB Adam Jones

According to Adam Jones twitter account, he and the Bengals have reached an agreement on a three-year contract.

  • Geoff Hobson reported earlier in the day that the two sides were getting close to an agreement.
  • Ian Rapoport adds that Jones had interest from two other NFL teams.

Fellow cornerback Terence Newman tweeted that he was deciding between the Bengals and the Raiders and expects to reach a decision by Friday.

Clearly, Cincinnati is looking to maintain some depth at corner and Jones is coming off of a surprisingly productive season for them. Jones, 29, was actually rated as the No. 6 cornerback in terms of coverage, according to Pro Football Focus. He’s also capable of contributing on special teams as well.

We had Jones listed as the No. 15 player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.
