Bengals Roster Cuts Including DL Devon Still

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced a number of cuts as they trim their roster down to 53 players, while LB Vontaze Burfict has been placed on the PUP list with a knee injury.

Bengals cuts include:

Burfict, 24, underwent microfracture surgery on his left knee back in February. Due to the extent of the injuries, it was long expected for Burfict to land on the PUP list.

In 2014, Burfict only appeared in five games after landing on the season ending injured reserve. In the previous season, Burfict ranked as the No. 4 overall outside linebacker in a 4-3 defense, according to Pro Football Focus.

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Bengals have begun the process of cutting their roster down to 53 players on Saturday with the release of DT Devon Still.

Still, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals. Last year, Still was released at the start of the season, but he was later added to the team’s practice squad.

Cincinnati brought Still back on a one-year, $740,000 contract back in March.

In 2014, Still appeared in 12 games and recorded 19 tackles for the Bengals. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 237 snaps last year.

We’ll have more cuts posted as the news is available.
