The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday that they’ve released QB Christian Hackenberg from the practice squad and signed QB Connor Cook and TE Andrew Bollert to the unit.

Here’s the Bengals updated practice squad:

  1. TE Moritz Bohringer (International)
  2. DT Andrew Brown
  3. HB Quinton Flowers
  4. C Brad Lundblade
  5. OT Kent Perkins
  6. WR Kermit Whitfield
  7. LB Chris Worley
  8. DB Demetrious Cox
  9. LB Brandon Bell
  10. QB Connor Cook
  11. TE Andrew Bollert

Hackenberg, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2016. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $4.7 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.08 million for the 2018 season.

The Jets traded Hackenberg to the Raiders last month for a conditional seventh-round pick. However, Oakland waived him during the summer and he later signed on with the Eagles for the preseason.

Hackenberg was signed to the Bengals’ practice squad at the start of the regular season.

During his three-year college career at Penn State, Hackenberg threw for 8,457 yards while completing 56.1 percent of his passes to go along with 48 touchdowns and 31 interceptions.

Cook, 24, was taken by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.959 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $630,000 this season when the Raiders waived him coming out of the preseason.

Oakland waived Cook at the start of the 2018 season and he later signed on to the Panthers’ practice squad. However, Carolina released Cook a few weeks ago.

In 2016, Cook appeared in one game and thrown for 150 yards while completing 14 of 21 passing attempts to go along with one touchdown and one interception.
