Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer tweets that he doesn’t expect the Bengals to retain either Andre Caldwell or Jerome Simpson next season.
Both of the wide receivers will be free agents in the coming weeks and beyond A.J. Green, there’s really not much depth at the position. Caldwell and Green ranked in the bottom five of Pro Football Focus’s player rankings so it’s understandable why Reedy mentioned that both could be gone.

They signed Vidal Hazelton. He will be that receiver next to AJ. He might even outshine AJ. Might be a big surprise like Cruz. This guy is a natural WR. Very Physical, runs crisp a precise routes. Has great ball skills and one of the best blockers I’ve seen. He caught a few bad breaks but The bengals got a gem for a steal. This Guy was considered the # 1 receive in the class of 2006. Ranked above Percy Harvin and Kenny Britt.
