Bengals Sign 3 Draft Picks, Including Second-Round S Jessie Bates

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they have signed three draft picks on Saturday, including second-round S Jessie Bates, fourth-round RB Mark Walton, and fifth-round CB Darius Phillips.

The Bengals now have seven of their 11 draft picks under contract.

Bates, 21, was drafted with the No. 54 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft. According to Overthecap.com, he is set to earn a four-year rookie contract worth $4,947,818 including a signing bonus of $1,678,412.

During his three-year college career at Wake Forest, Bates recorded 177 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, scored two defensive touchdowns, 10 pass defenses, and two forced fumbles.
