Bengals Sign HC Marvin Lewis To A One-Year Extension

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have signed HC Marvin Lewis to a one-year extension on Friday.

Lewis was entering the final year of his contract, so it makes sense that they would prevent him from being a “lame duck” coach in 2014. He’s now under team control through the 2015 season.

Lewis has been with the Bengals since 2003 and is the second longest tenured head coach in the NFL behind only Bill Belichick of the Patriots.

His career record with the Bengals is 90-85-1 (.514 win percentage), but includes no playoff wins and five losses.
