Bengals Sign LB Jayson DiManche To Practice Squad, Sign 3 Futures Deals

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve signed LB Jayson DiManche to their practice squad on Tuesday.

  • The Bengals also signed K Zach Hocker, DE Dezmond Johnson, and S Floyd Raven to future/reserve deals.

DiManche, 25, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois back in 2013. He was waived/injured during the first round of roster cuts and eventually released from injured reserve with a settlement.

The Browns wound up signing DiManche off of the Bengals practice squad a few months ago before cutting him loose a few weeks ago.

This season, DiManche has appeared in one game, but hasn’t recorded a single statistic.

Hocker, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins. However, he was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year and was among their final roster cuts.

The Dolphins later signed him to a future/reserve deal in early January before cutting him back May. Hocker caught on with the Saints and managed to win the job this summer, but was once again released before joining the Rams.

In eight games this season, Hocker has converted 10 of 14 (71.4 percent) of his field goal attempts. He’s also 12 out of 13 in extra point tries.
