Bengals Sign P Will Monday, Waive/Injured WR Jake Kumerow

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Wednesday that they’ve signed P Will Monday to a contract and waived WR Jake Kumerow with an injury designation.

Should Kumerow pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Thursday.

Monday, 25, originally signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May of last year. Unfortunately, he was waived at the start of the regular season and wound up sitting out the entire year.

The Chiefs signed him to a contract a few weeks after this year’s draft, but he was once again waived a few months later.

During his college career at Duke, Monday totaled 11,299 punt yards on 260 attempts (43.5 average) over the course of four seasons and 52 games.
