Bengals Sign WR Greg Little, Waive WR Cobi Hamilton

Update:

The Cincinnati Bengals announced the signing of WR Greg Little, as well as the subsequent release of WR Cobi Hamilton on Thursday.

  • The Bengals also placed LB Rey Maualuga on the Active/Non-Football injury list.

Hamilton, 24, is a former sixth round pick of the Bengals back 2013. He was unfortunately unable to make the team coming out of the preseason that year, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

He briefly joined the Eagles in September of last year, only to return to the Bengals a month later.

Hamilton has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Bengals have signed veteran WR Greg Little to a contract following his workout on Thursday.

  • Jason La Canfora reports that Little receives a one-year contract for the Bengals.

Little was one of three free agents to work out for the Bengals including David Nelson and Santonio Holmes.

Cincinnati also signed rookie WR Desmond Lawrence to a contract, so they’re clearly bolstering their receiver depth.

Little, 26, is a former second round pick of the Browns back in 2011. He spent three season in Cleveland before he was cut and later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders. The Bengals would later take a shot on him in October of last year. However, he was cut loose by Cincinnati before the start of free agency.

In 2014, Little appeared in six games and recorded six receptions for 69 yards receiving.
