Bengals Place TE Tyler Eifert On PUP List, Add LB Vontaze Burfict To NFI List

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday that they’ve placed TE Tyler Eifert, Devonte Boyd and Davontae Harrison on the PUP list.

Other roster moves:

  • Bengals placed OT Javarius Leamon on the did not report.
  • Bengals signed WR Jared Murphy.
  • Bengals placed LB Vontaze Burfict and FB/TE Ryan Hewitt on the non-football injury list.
  • Bengals placed G Christian Westerman and S Tyrice Beverette on the non-football illness list.

Bengals executive Duke Tobin said he is hopeful Eifert can recover.

Hopefully Tyler Eifert can come back and be a factor for us,” Tobin said. “I can’t predict the future on that one, but I can testify to the fact that he made a difference when he was up and running for us. We know what he can do if he can get back to that level. I know his full intent is to get back to that level. We’ll see if he can.”

For what it’s worth, Eifert tweeted on Monday that he was “feeling great” and looking forward to training camp.

Eifert, 27, is a first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.256 million contract and finished the 2017 season under the fifth-year option.

The Bengals brought Eifert back on a one-year contract this past March.

In 2017, Eifert appeared in two games before landing on the injured reserve and caught four passes for 46 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Bengals.
