Bengals Tried Out 5 Players Including LB Ben Boulware

According to Howard Balzer, the Cincinnati Bengals brought in five players for tryouts including LB Ben Boulware.

The full list of tryouts for the Bengals includes:

  1. LB Ben Boulware
  2. LB Carl Bradford 
  3. LB Connor Harris
  4. S Lorenzo Jerome
  5. S Robenson Therezie

Of this group, the Bengals signed Bradford to their practice squad on Wednesday.

Boulware, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Panthers cut him loose as they cut their roster down the 53 players.

The 49ers signed him to their practice squad at the start of the season, only to cut him loose a week later.

During his college career at Clemson, Boulware recorded 261 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven forced fumbles, and four pass defenses.
