Bengals Worked Out Veteran WR Hakeem Nicks

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bengals brought in free agent WR Hakeem Nicks for a tryout on Tuesday.

The Bengals actually hosted WR Mike Williams for a visit, so they’re clearly looking for additional help at the receiver position.

This is the first reported interest in Nicks since the free agent market officially opened close to a month ago.

Nicks, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2009. He spent five years in New York before he departed in 2014 and signed a one-year deal with the Colts.

After another limited free agent market, Nicks was forced to sign a one-year deal with the Titans, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts. The Giants later brought him back in November after they sustained some injuries at the position and he finish out the year in New York.

Last year, Nicks appeared in six games for the Giants and totaled seven receptions for 54 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
