Bengals “Very Interested” In Signing DT Pat Sims

According to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals are “very interested” in free agent DT Pat Sims.

  • Dehner Jr. adds that the Bengals signing Sims would be contingent on him passing a physical.

Sims, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2008. He played out his rookie contract before signing on with the Raiders back in March of 2013, and is now among the best available interior defensive linemen.

In 2014, Sims appeared in all 16 games for Oakland and recorded 25 tackles and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 53 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
