Ravens Sign RB Bernard Scott

Update:

The Baltimore Ravens announced Monday that have filled their final roster spot by signing former Bengals RB Bernard Scott

The vacant roster spot was created after the Ravens traded LT Bryant McKinnie to the Dolphins.

Baltimore recently brought in former Cardinals RB Beanie Wells for a work out as well, but he unfortunately suffered a torn Achilles.

The Ravens met with Scott weeks ago, so they have clearly been monitoring his situation in case they were in need of another running back.

Scott, 29, suffered a torn ACL last October, which to forced the Bengals to keep him on their PUP list begin the season. He will likely backup Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce.

Adam Caplan reports that former Bengals RB Bernard Scott worked out for the Oakland Raiders this week.

Both Darren McFadden and Marcel Reece suffered injuries during Sunday’s loss to Washington, so it makes sense to see Oakland at least kick the tires on some available free agents this week. Rashad Jennings could end up handling the ground-game this weekend when they take on the Chargers.
