Bengals WR A.J. Green’s Foot Injury Won’t Require Surgery

Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that Bengals WR A.J. Green‘s foot injury will not require surgery and he will instead need to give it the appropriate amount of time for it heal on it’s own.

Paul Dehner Jr. reportedly earlier in the day that Green was not practicing on Friday and has a boot on his right foot.

According to Breer, the Boot is just a precautionary measure to ensure that he doesn’t suffer a setback in the coming days.

Cincinnati is in a tough spot at receiver given that Marvin Jones is also expected to miss Sunday’s game, which leaves them with Mohamed Sanu, Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher as their top-three receivers.

Green, 26, aggravated his toe injury during Wednesday’s practice and was carted off the field. He has appeared in four games this season and has caught 17 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
