Bills HC Rex Ryan told reporters after Monday night’s loss to the Seahawks that C Eric Wood suffered a broken leg and is out for the season, per Chris Brown.

The Bills will likely place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Bills C Eric Wood was carted off the field with a right ankle injury he suffered during the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the Seahawks.

Wood, unfortunately, had his right ankle stepped on while the Bills were scoring a touchdown. The Bills have already ruled him out for the game.

Wood, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Bills back in 2009. He’s currently in the fourth year of his five-year, $27.7 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $4.125 million over the final two years of the agreement.

The Bills and Wood agreed to restructure his contract at the start of the season, which created $2.5 million of cap space for the Bills.

This season, Wood has appeared in nine games for the Bills and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 29 center out of 34 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding the severity of Wood’s injury as the news is available.
